The goal

Wordle gives you six tries to guess a hidden five-letter word. After each guess the tiles change colour to tell you how close you were.

Reading the tiles

Green means the right letter in the right spot; yellow means the letter is in the word but somewhere else; grey means it isn't in the word at all. Lock greens, move yellows, drop greys.

When it resets

A new Wordle drops at midnight in your local time zone. Yesterday's puzzle moves to the archive, where every past answer stays searchable.
